Description
White festoon lighting has a look all its own: clean, bright and quietly elegant, the kind of thing that suits a wedding marquee or a coastal deck as easily as a backyard party. This 20-metre white festoon string runs 20 E27 sockets along a sleek white rubber cable that blends against pale walls, sailcloth and clean modern lines rather than standing out the way a black cable does. It is built to stay outside, rated IP65, wired with heavy-duty 2 x 1.5mm² rubber cable, and it plugs straight into a standard power point with no electrician needed. The twist-lock ends let you connect several strings into one run. Backed by a 2-year cable warranty.
A note on this batch
This is discounted outlet stock with one small cosmetic flaw: a faint blue mark shows on sections of the white cable. It is purely cosmetic, does not affect safety or performance in any way, and it is the only reason the price is reduced. In every other respect this is the full-specification festoon. This is also a run-out line, so once this stock sells through it will not be restocked.
Key Specs
- Length: 20 metres end to end. The lit section is 16 metres from connector to connector, with a 4-metre lead running out to the plug.
- Sockets: 20 E27 screw holders, spaced 80 cm apart, each rated up to 25 watts.
- Power: plugs into a standard mains power point with an AU plug, no electrician required.
- Weatherproof: IP65-sealed sockets and connectors, made for permanent outdoor use.
- Cable: heavy-duty 2 x 1.5mm² rubber, SAA-certified.
- Connectable: the twist-lock ends join strings into one continuous run from a single power point, and you can mix lengths freely, add a 10-metre string to this one, or several more, to reach the exact span you need. The whole run shares a 1,500-watt limit, so multiply your total sockets by the bulb wattage and keep it under that. On the free 11-watt bulbs that is around six strings; on low-wattage LEDs, many more.
- Mounting: an integrated hanging eyelet on every socket for quick, tidy installation.
- Dimmable: works with dimmable bulbs and an optional LED-compatible plug-in dimmer, to soften the whole run for a dinner or wind it up for a party.
Built to Last
This is a festoon you can leave up and forget about. Each socket is individually sealed to IP65 and the rubber cable holds its shape and colour season after season, where PVC hardens and yellows, so a long permanent run over a courtyard or venue keeps its looks through years of sun, rain and salt air. Running on mains also means the last bulb is as bright as the first, without the fall-off you get toward the end of a long low-voltage string.
Bulbs, free or upgraded
Each 20-metre string ships with 24 warm-white 11-watt incandescent bulbs included free, four of them spares, so every socket is lit from the outset with a few held in reserve. If you would rather run LED, use the Select Bulbs dropdown to swap the free pack for premium E27 LED globes instead, from vintage filament and fancy round to clear, frosted, amber and shatterproof styless, most of them dimmable.
Where It Belongs
It is at its best where a clean white line of light suits the setting. White festoon is a favourite for wedding marquees and sailcloth tents, beach clubs, coastal cafés and pool areas, and it looks just as good over alfresco dining, beer gardens and rooftop bars. At home it belongs on pergolas, verandahs, courtyards and decks, anywhere you want festoon light that reads bright and elegant rather than industrial.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How bright are Dulora bulbs?
LED brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. Here's a quick conversion guide:
- 2-3W LED ≈ 25W incandescent (200-300 lumens)
- 4-5W LED ≈ 40W incandescent (400-500 lumens)
- 6-8W LED ≈ 60W incandescent (650-800 lumens)
- 7.5-10W LED ≈ 75-100W incandescent (900-1200 lumens)
- 11-12W LED ≈ 100-125W incandescent (1300-1500 lumens)
All Dulora product pages list wattage and lumen output so you can choose the perfect brightness for your needs.
What is the lifespan of Dulora bulbs?
Dulora bulbs are designed for over 25,000 hours of use. If you use your light for an average of 3 hours per day, your LED bulb could last over 22 years. This exceptional longevity significantly reduces the frequency of replacements compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, which typically last only 1,000-2,000 hours. Note that all LED bulbs' light output gradually decreases over time, a phenomenon known as lumen depreciation.
Are Dulora bulbs dimmable?
Yes, most Dulora bulbs are dimmable, allowing you to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Look for the "dimmable" specification on the product page. For optimal performance, we recommend using LED-compatible dimmers. Some older dimmer switches may cause flickering or buzzing with LED bulbs. If you experience any issues, please contact our customer support team for assistance.
What is colour temperature and which should I choose?
Colour temperature refers to the warmth or coolness of light, measured in Kelvins (K):
- Ultra & Extra Warm (2000K-2200K): This colour range is warm and closer to a room lit by candles. It’s a very calm type of light, but it may make tasks like reading harder.
- This calming light gives off a warm glow, similar to candlelight. However, because it is such a soft light, it may not be suitable for activities that require focus, such as reading.
- Warm White (2700K-3000K): This colour creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. It is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas.
- Natural White (3500K-4000K): Provides a balanced, neutral light perfect for kitchens, offices, and workspaces.
- Cool White (5000K-6500K): This colour delivers a crisp, energising light similar to daylight. It is best for task lighting, garages, and areas requiring detailed visibility.
Choose based on the mood you want to create and the purpose of the space.
