A lighting installation has two parts: the light source and everything that makes it work. This collection covers the second part.
For low-voltage strip lighting and downlight systems, the Dulora OmniDim constant voltage LED drivers convert mains power to a stable 12V or 24V DC output. The IP20 indoor range covers 30W to 100W at both voltages; the IP65 outdoor range handles wet-area and exterior installations from 30W to 200W at 24V. Both support five dimming protocols: TRIAC, 1–10V, PWM, resistance, and push; so they pair with most wall dimmers and control systems already on site. The VoltSwitch driver offers a non-dimmable 12/24V switchable option at 20W to 100W for installations where dimming isn't required.
For 240V mains lighting, the DimEzy range covers every control format: plug-in rotary and hand dimmers for lamps and floor lights; inline cord dimmers; push-button and rotary wall dimmers; a smart plug-in dimmer with Wi-Fi control; and low-voltage PWM dimmers for 12–24V DC systems. All 240V wall dimmers are trailing-edge.
For festoon installations, the hardware range includes Y and T-shaped string splitters for 240V, 24V and smart strings, extension cords in black and white for classic, smart and solar strings, hanging kits in 10 to 50 metre runs, freestanding light poles, and an IP67 waterproof cable connector. The Monad swag hook suspends pendant fittings cleanly from a ceiling without fixed wiring.

Buying Guide
What is a constant voltage LED driver, and do I need one
A constant-voltage LED driver converts mains power (240V AC) to a fixed low-voltage DC output, typically 12V or 24V, that LED strip lighting, downlight systems, and low-voltage LED products require to operate. Without a driver, connecting low-voltage LEDs directly to mains power would immediately destroy them. Whether you need one depends on the product: most standard LED bulbs and fittings run directly from 240V mains and need no driver at all. LED strip lighting, 12V or 24V downlight systems, and low-voltage festoon strings always need a driver or a compatible power supply. If you're unsure, check the voltage listed on the product or its specification sheet; a 240V product needs no driver, a 12V or 24V product does.
Which LED driver should I choose for my installation
The two main variables are wattage and voltage. Add up the wattage of every LED product the driver will power and choose a driver rated at least 20 per cent above that total; running a driver at its maximum rated load shortens its life. Voltage must match exactly: a 12V driver for 12V products, a 24V driver for 24V products. From there, decide whether you need dimming. The Dulora OmniDim supports five dimming protocols and works with most existing wall dimmers; the VoltSwitch is a straightforward non-dimmable option for installations where dimming isn't required. For outdoor or wet area installations, choose the IP65-rated OmniDim rather than the IP20 indoor model.
How do I set up a festoon lighting run?
A typical festoon run starts with a power source and a string plugged directly into it. From there, you can extend the run using an extension cord (available in 3, 5 and 10 metre lengths in black; 10 metre in white), split the run into two or three directions using a Y or T-shaped string splitter, or run the string across a span using the hanging kit, which includes a tensioned wire rated for the specific run length you choose. For freestanding runs where there's no wall or fence to anchor to, the light poles give you a stable mount on any flat surface. For connections made outdoors where a weatherproof join is needed, the IP67 cable connector seals the junction against moisture.
Can I dim my festoon lights or LED strip without a wall dimmer?
Yes, depending on the setup. For 240V festoon strings, a plug-in dimmer; either rotary or smart; sits between the power outlet and the string and requires no wall switch or wiring. The DimEzy Smart Plug-In Dimmer adds Wi-Fi control, so you can adjust the level from your phone or schedule it without touching a switch. For 12V or 24V LED strip or low-voltage festoon strings, the 12–24V DC PWM dimmer handles manual control; a wireless remote version is also available. For floor lamps and table lamps on 240V, the plug-in hand dimmer or foot dimmer adds dimming to any lamp that doesn't have one built in.
Frequently Asked Questions
LED Lighting Accessories
- Are the Dulora LED drivers SAA certified?
- The Dulora OmniDim and VoltSwitch drivers are mains-connected 240V products and carry SAA certification, which covers both Australia and New Zealand. Certification details are listed on each product page.
- Which LED driver voltage should I use, 12V or 24V?
- The voltage of the driver must match the voltage of the LED products it powers; a 12V driver for 12V LEDs, a 24V driver for 24V LEDs. Most Dulora LED strip lighting and low-voltage downlights run at 24V; check the product page for the specific voltage requirement before selecting a driver.
- Will the festoon accessories work with my existing string lights?
- The splitters and extension cords are compatible with Dulora 240V, 24V and smart festoon strings; the smart variants of the extension cord and 2-way splitter are designed specifically for the Dulora Smart Festoon String. If you're connecting accessories to a third-party string, check that the connector type and voltage match before ordering.
- Do I need an electrician to install a DimEzy dimmer?
- Plug-in dimmers; the rotary plug-in, hand dimmer, foot dimmer, inline cord dimmer and smart plug-in; require no wiring and can be installed without a licensed electrician. Wall dimmers that replace an existing light switch require connection to fixed wiring and must be installed by a licensed electrician in Australia.
- Do Dulora offer free shipping on accessories?
- Yes. Free metro delivery applies to orders over $99, and free regional delivery applies to orders over $199. Some bulky items, including the festoon light poles, may have specific shipping conditions listed on the product page.
- What is the Monad swag hook used for?
- The Monad is a ceiling-mounted hook for suspending pendant light fittings without fixed wiring, allowing you to cleanly drop a pendant cord from a ceiling rose or hook point. It is available in white and black to suit either ceiling colour.
