The Monad | Plug-In Dimmer Pendant (Matte White)

The Monad in matte white brings a clean, airy shape and a warm, dimmable glow to any space, and because it plugs straight into a power point, there is no wiring to run and no electrician to book. White That Blends In

This is a pendant designed to recede. The matte white powder-coat and white fabric cord sit softly against pale walls and ceilings for a barely-there look, or draw a crisp line against timber and colour. It is built from the same premium hardware as our hardwired range, so nothing about it feels temporary. Fix the two supplied white swag hooks to the ceiling with the screws provided, drape the six-metre cord over them to set the drop, and plug it in: a few minutes with a screwdriver, no trades and no rewiring. When you refresh the room or move on, it comes with you.

Bare Bulb or Shade-Ready: Your Choice

The Monad comes two ways. The Bare Bulb version keeps the holder clean and open for a simple, sculptural globe on show. The Lampshade version has a threaded collar at the base of the holder, 41 mm across, that a lampshade screws directly onto, with no bracket needed, so you can soften the light with a shade in white linen, paper or fabric to suit a calmer scheme. Just pick a shade made for a 41 mm thread. The holder stands 69 mm tall either way. Everything else is identical; it is simply a question of whether you want the globe bare or dressed.

A Glow You Can Dial

The inline dimmer sits about two metres up from the plug, easy to reach, so you can lift the room to bright, working light or settle it into a soft, cloud-like glow. Fit any dimmable E27 bulb, a 3-watt LED at minimum, and the whole atmosphere is yours to set from the cord.

Where It Belongs

The white Monad suits the rooms you want to feel calm and uncluttered. Over a nursery chair it gives a soft, dimmable light for late feeds without a harsh overhead; beside a bed or above a pale dining table it keeps the look clean and the surfaces clear. It works in living-room corners over an armchair or a group of plants, in bright home studios, and in any Scandi-leaning scheme where the fitting should recede.
