Description
There is a particular kind of light a white festoon throws: bright, clean and quietly celebratory, the sort that turns a small courtyard or a single pergola into somewhere you want to linger. This 10-metre white festoon string runs 10 E27 sockets along a snow-white rubber cable that all but disappears against pale walls, sailcloth and light timber, so the glow reads as the feature rather than the wiring. It is a manageable single span, easy enough for one person to hang in an afternoon, and it plugs straight into a power point with no electrician needed. Built to stay outside, it is rated IP65 and wired in heavy-duty 2 x 1.5mm² rubber, and the twist-lock ends let you add more strings as your space grows. Backed by a 2-year cable warranty.
A note on this batch
This one is outlet stock, discounted for a single cosmetic quirk: a faint blue mark runs along sections of the white cable. It changes nothing about how the festoon performs or how safely it runs, and it is the only reason the price has come down. It is also a run-out line, so once this stock is gone it will not return.
Key Specs
- Length: 10 metres end to end. The lit section is 8 metres from connector to connector, with a 2-metre lead running out to the plug.
- Sockets: 10 E27 screw holders, spaced 80 cm apart, each rated up to 25 watts.
- Power: plugs into a standard mains power point with an AU plug, no electrician required.
- Weatherproof: IP65-sealed sockets and connectors, made for permanent outdoor use.
- Cable: heavy-duty 2 x 1.5mm² rubber, UV-resistant and SAA-certified.
- Connectable: the twist-lock ends join strings into one continuous run from a single power point, and you can mix lengths freely, join this to a 20-metre string, or add more 10-metre runs, to reach the exact span you need. The whole run shares a 1,500-watt limit, so multiply your total sockets by the bulb wattage and keep it under that. On the free 11-watt bulbs that is around thirteen strings; on low-wattage LEDs, many more.
- Mounting: an integrated hanging eyelet on every socket for quick, tidy installation.
- Dimmable: works with dimmable bulbs and an optional LED-compatible plug-in dimmer, to wind the whole run down for a quiet dinner or up for a party.
Built to Last
A shorter run is easy to work with, and the rubber cable is a big part of why. It stays soft and pliable in the cold instead of stiffening like PVC, so it coils, hangs and repositions without fighting you, and it resists the UV and salt that crack and discolour cheaper cable within a season. It runs on mains power too, so the light stays full and even along the whole span rather than dimming toward the far end.
Bulbs, free or upgraded
Every string arrives with a free set of 12 warm-white 11-watt incandescent bulbs, two of them spares, so it lights up straight from the box. Prefer LED? Use the Select Bulbs dropdown to swap the free pack for premium E27 LED globes, from vintage filament and fancy round to clear, frosted, amber and shatterproof styless, most of them dimmable.
Where It Belongs
The 10-metre length is the easy one to place: a single run that suits a balcony, a courtyard, a compact deck or a market stall without cable left over. White festoon is a favourite for wedding aisles, tipi tents and photo backdrops, and it looks just as good over café terraces, poolside bars and rooftop dining. At home it belongs on pergolas, verandahs and garden paths, anywhere you want festoon light that reads bright and elegant rather than industrial. When you need to cover more ground, add another string and keep going.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How bright are Dulora bulbs?
LED brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. Here's a quick conversion guide:
- 2-3W LED ≈ 25W incandescent (200-300 lumens)
- 4-5W LED ≈ 40W incandescent (400-500 lumens)
- 6-8W LED ≈ 60W incandescent (650-800 lumens)
- 7.5-10W LED ≈ 75-100W incandescent (900-1200 lumens)
- 11-12W LED ≈ 100-125W incandescent (1300-1500 lumens)
All Dulora product pages list wattage and lumen output so you can choose the perfect brightness for your needs.
What is the lifespan of Dulora bulbs?
Dulora bulbs are designed for over 25,000 hours of use. If you use your light for an average of 3 hours per day, your LED bulb could last over 22 years. This exceptional longevity significantly reduces the frequency of replacements compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, which typically last only 1,000-2,000 hours. Note that all LED bulbs' light output gradually decreases over time, a phenomenon known as lumen depreciation.
Are Dulora bulbs dimmable?
Yes, most Dulora bulbs are dimmable, allowing you to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Look for the "dimmable" specification on the product page. For optimal performance, we recommend using LED-compatible dimmers. Some older dimmer switches may cause flickering or buzzing with LED bulbs. If you experience any issues, please contact our customer support team for assistance.
What is colour temperature and which should I choose?
Colour temperature refers to the warmth or coolness of light, measured in Kelvins (K):
- Ultra & Extra Warm (2000K-2200K): This colour range is warm and closer to a room lit by candles. It’s a very calm type of light, but it may make tasks like reading harder.
- This calming light gives off a warm glow, similar to candlelight. However, because it is such a soft light, it may not be suitable for activities that require focus, such as reading.
- Warm White (2700K-3000K): This colour creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. It is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas.
- Natural White (3500K-4000K): Provides a balanced, neutral light perfect for kitchens, offices, and workspaces.
- Cool White (5000K-6500K): This colour delivers a crisp, energising light similar to daylight. It is best for task lighting, garages, and areas requiring detailed visibility.
Choose based on the mood you want to create and the purpose of the space.
