Description
Description
A plug-in hand dimmer you can add to any lamp, no wiring and no electrician. The Hand Dimmer and Switch plugs into a wall socket, your lamp plugs into it, and a single push button does the rest: tap it to switch the lamp on or off, press and hold to dim it up or down. There is even a small screw to set your own lowest brightness, so a bedside lamp can settle to a soft, sleep-friendly glow. Available in black or white, and backed by a 3-year warranty.
One Button, Full Control
Everything runs from one push button on a 1.5-metre cord, so the control sits within easy reach on the desk or beside the bed. A quick tap turns the lamp on or off; press and hold, and the light rises or falls smoothly to the level you want. A small green indicator shows at a glance when the lamp is live, and the adjustment screw on the back lets you set the minimum brightness, so it dims cleanly to a low glow without flickering at the bottom of the range.
Smooth, Flicker-Free Dimming
It uses trailing-edge phase control, the type suited to modern LEDs, so the light fades cleanly without the flicker or buzz cheaper dimmers can bring. It works with most dimmable LED, incandescent, halogen and CFL bulbs.

Good to Know
It is made for dimmable lamps and bulbs, so it will not work with LED fairy lights or strip lighting. It needs only a small minimum load to run, though, which suits the low-wattage LED lamps some dimmers struggle with.
Where It Belongs
It is the easiest lamp dimmer to live with, at home on bedside and desk lamps, reading and study lights, and any decorative or accent lamp you would rather be able to dim. Because it plugs in and comes with you, it is a favourite in rentals, student housing, shared homes and home offices. In hospitality and retail it does the same quiet job on hotel-room bedside lamps, restaurant and café table lamps, and boutique display lighting. Tap for on, hold to dim, in seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How bright are Dulora bulbs?
LED brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. Here's a quick conversion guide:
- 2-3W LED ≈ 25W incandescent (200-300 lumens)
- 4-5W LED ≈ 40W incandescent (400-500 lumens)
- 6-8W LED ≈ 60W incandescent (650-800 lumens)
- 7.5-10W LED ≈ 75-100W incandescent (900-1200 lumens)
- 11-12W LED ≈ 100-125W incandescent (1300-1500 lumens)
All Dulora product pages list wattage and lumen output so you can choose the perfect brightness for your needs.
What is the lifespan of Dulora bulbs?
Dulora bulbs are designed for over 25,000 hours of use. If you use your light for an average of 3 hours per day, your LED bulb could last over 22 years. This exceptional longevity significantly reduces the frequency of replacements compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, which typically last only 1,000-2,000 hours. Note that all LED bulbs' light output gradually decreases over time, a phenomenon known as lumen depreciation.
Are Dulora bulbs dimmable?
Yes, most Dulora bulbs are dimmable, allowing you to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Look for the "dimmable" specification on the product page. For optimal performance, we recommend using LED-compatible dimmers. Some older dimmer switches may cause flickering or buzzing with LED bulbs. What is colour temperature and which should I choose?
Colour temperature refers to the warmth or coolness of light, measured in Kelvins (K):
- Ultra & Extra Warm (2000K-2200K): This colour range is warm and closer to a room lit by candles. It’s a very calm type of light, but it may make tasks like reading harder.
- This calming light gives off a warm glow, similar to candlelight. However, because it is such a soft light, it may not be suitable for activities that require focus, such as reading.
- Warm White (2700K-3000K): This colour creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. It is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas.
- Natural White (3500K-4000K): Provides a balanced, neutral light perfect for kitchens, offices, and workspaces.
- Cool White (5000K-6500K): This colour delivers a crisp, energising light similar to daylight. It is best for task lighting, garages, and areas requiring detailed visibility.
Choose based on the mood you want to create and the purpose of the space.
